{"id":766,"date":"2026-04-01T07:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesssinglesmeet.com\/?p=766"},"modified":"2026-04-10T13:02:38","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T13:02:38","slug":"reconomy-to-open-20m-plastic-recycling-plant-in-corby","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/businesssinglesmeet.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/01\/reconomy-to-open-20m-plastic-recycling-plant-in-corby\/","title":{"rendered":"Reconomy to open \u00a320m plastic recycling plant in Corby"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-beyondwords-marker=\"0eecc512-4a49-4085-ae4a-2e9d049e4970\" data-beyondwords-player=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<h4><img decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-612152 size-full lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" alt=\"plastic recycling\n\" width=\"860\" height=\"516\" data-src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.circularonline.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Corby-recycling-facility.jpg?resize=860%2C516&amp;ssl=1\"><\/h4>\n<h4>Reconomy has announced it is set to open a new \u00a320 million closed-loop plastic recycling facility in Corby later this year.<\/h4>\n<p>International circular economy specialist Reconomy\u2019s brand, Eurokey, will open the site, which it says will be one of the UK\u2019s largest dedicated plastic recycling facilities.<\/p>\n<p>The plant will receive several grades of plastic material from supermarkets, retailers and grocers and recycle it into plastic pellets ready for manufacture into plastic packaging.<\/p>\n<p>The construction phase for the facility is almost complete, and it is expected to become fully operational in the second half of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>At full capacity, Reconomy says the site will be able to recycle 38,000 tonnes of plastic material annually and will also create over 30 new jobs.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the announcement, Mike Benton, Recycle Loop Managing Director of Reconomy, said: \u201cThis facility will play a major role in increasing domestic recycling capacity and reducing reliance on virgin plastic by keeping high-quality material in circulation.
